Hi Guys,
I'm new to this site, and wanted to introduce myself. I think it's a great idea, as it's a lot easier to do this with support! I bought the Kind book this week, and want to give it a shot. I'm a runner, I'm currently training for my second marathon, but I've also dealt with eating disorder issues (overweight-underweight-and everywhere in between lol) and acne.

I've been a chicketarian (haha) for a while out of concern for the way livestock have been treated. But especially after reading this book, I can't eat eggs or chicken anymore without feeling guilty about their treatment.

So I've decided to try the Veganism and see how well it works for me. I've abstained from dairy before and noticed that I felt a lot better without it. Looking forward to meeting you!

Good luck with your new adventure. I've been vegan for 2 months now and am very happy I made the change. Yes, there are occasional challenges but they are so insignificant compared to the benefits!

i was a chicketarian for a while too! for a while, i just ignored the cold, hard truth behind their treatment. but i feel so much more true to myself when i don't eat chicken (or dairy or eggs, etc.). i find that people who are emotionally connected to veganism have an easier time sticking to it than those who don't, so good luck on your journey!
