Hey there, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a brand that makes cozy blankets using all-natural/ eco-friendly materials. I recently bought an acrylic blanket, and using it literally gives me headaches! It kind of smells like chemicals. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mary

I know of a lady on Etsy who makes t-shirt blankets. She takes your T-shirts & sews them into a blanket or memory quilt. I don't know if links are allowed here.. www dot facebook dot com/TShirtMemoryBlanket I'm sure she could sew something else for you too. I know I am super worried about getting a new mattress for my bed.. everything these days is full of chemicals. I assume you did try washing the acrylic blanket first.. sometimes they have sizing or some sort of chemical put in them for when they are stored for a potential long time from the manufacturer. It might take a couple of times washing it, to get it out. I use Ecos laundry detergent or 7th generation. Sometimes I add borax to the wash or washing soda to boost it up a bit. I've been collecting pre-loved clothing for my daughter & I always know when someone has used a popular brand like Tide or something.. it gives me a instant headache & I have to wash the clothing a few times to get it "safer" for my daughter to wear. Crazy how sensitive I've become.
