Cramps much worse after Vegan? Advice

Hello everyone. I went about 99% vegan in June. I still occasionally will eat foods that have fish sauce. But no meat, eggs, dairy, at least not intentionally since June. Everything is alot better except for cramps. They are SO much worse than before. I used to get cramps regularly every month during my period, but a tylenol would suffice. But now I get them starting the week before AND during my period. And tylenol does nothing for me anything. I have to continually take midol and motrin to keep the cramps at bay. Has this happened to anyone else?

My cramps used to be horrible! So bad that medicine would not even help. Going vegan decreased the cramps slightly. Not a huge difference though. I started taking birth control for acne and menstrual problems. I took it for about 10 months... I still had a little acne and it didn't help my cramps like I was hoping. I didn't like the way it made me feel either. I decided that I wanted to stop taking all forms of traditional medications and birth control so I started taking Evening Primrose oil everyday for the acne problem. Since starting this,my cramps have been very mild. I can usually just stretch and use a heating pad, if I start hurting. If I am at work, I can use one of those heat wraps that get hot when you expose them to the air. They even make a menstrual one. I very rarely get cramps anymore though :) The Evening Primrose oil made such a big difference for me!! I hope it will work for you too!
I have been Vegan for over 5 years. I have no cramps at all.
