When cooking with my good friend Aleeza in prep for Passover, we made this super easy date based Charoset. Keep in mind we made a big batch, but you can easily adjust it to meet your needs.
Prep time: 5 minutes | Serves: 10-15
- 3 cups walnuts, around 30 dates, 1/4 cup Manischewitz wine, 2 tablespoons date paste (optional), and lettuce leafs for serving* (also optional)
Combine all ingredients (walnuts, dates, wine, and optional paste) into a food processor. Process until the mixture is finely chopped. Remove the mixture from processor and place in a serving bowl. Serve with lettuce leafs or however you wish!
*Aleeza likes to serve on this on lettuce leaves but eat Charoset however you prefer to eat it!!
Tell me what you think in the comments below! I’m hoping to try this one again for Hanukkah this year.
