This Internship Will Help Save Lives – and Changes Yours
As you all know, I’m a huge fan of Farm Sanctuary, which has been rescuing and advocating on behalf of farm animals for more than 25 years. They run North America’s largest farm animal rescue and refuge network, anchored by their three shelters (two in California and one in New York). If you are looking for a fun, educational, and immensely helpful way to put your kindness into action, you should check out their internship program.
Whether you’re a college student or someone who wants to gain experience working in animal protection, an internship at a Farm Sanctuary shelter will make the transformative power of kindness abundantly clear.
I’ve visited their Southern California Shelter before, and I took Bear for his first visit just last December. He was so excited to meet and interact with the curious, friendly, funny animals at the sanctuary. The animals we encountered were once abused and neglected by humans, yet they met us with gentleness and joy.
I have to confess: I adore this place so much, I dream of interning there myself. What a deeply moving experience that would be!
