I recently read the book Misadventures of a Parenting Yogi by Brian Leaf and really enjoyed it!! For anyone who is a parent of a toddler, you will get some major deep belly laughs quite a few times.
Leaf explores the ins and outs of raising little ones- hitting topics like attachment parenting, co-sleeping, and cloth diapers. One comical and enlightening feature of the book is a chart that classifies what type of person you are based off your lifestyle. According to Brian I am Amish- ha ha!
What makes this book stand apart from others is Leaf’s combination of research and humor. His anecdotes are both witty and friendly. No matter what your parenting philosophy is, you’ll come away with some useful advice and lots of laughs.
Despite truly enjoying this book, there was one thing that struck me as interesting. Leaf is a mindful truth seeking being, yet many of his stories reminisce on meals including lots of meat and dairy. Brian my wish is for you to read The Kind Diet so that you and your family can consume conscious nourishing foods- to better your lives and spiritual practice!! : )
Have you read The Misadventures of a Parenting Yogi? What did you think? What are some other parenting books you’ve enjoyed recently?
