Hi Alicia. Thank you for this post. I will definitely remember the vegan lifestyle on Easter. This holiday really hasn’t been one that I have celebrated recently; only when I was a child and, speaking of which, I am still a child in general and to being vegan. My reason for mentioning this is because I realized just recently that my little joke about Valium on the men’s clothing post went totally against the point and intended virtues and ethics of this website and being vegan. I want to sincerely apologize for that as I really do take this new way of life for me seriously and respect your efforts here. Happy Easter. I hope you are well where ever you are…Chicago or home. Much love, Blake

We’re going to be spending the day at my love’s family home and my mother will be joining us. This is my plan as of now:

I will probably attempt some vegan chocolate coated, “creme” filled eggs, and then I have most of the ingredients from this recipe: left over, so I just may have to make another one of these delicious cakes :)
I’m just excited to be able to spend the day with my boyfriend’s family as well as my mother!

i made pumpkin”eggs”using the pumpkin bread recipe from the kind life and vegan yolo “eggs” using the recipe from oh she glows. we let the kids do an easter “egg” hunt with those and we made easter baskets out of plastic bowls we had with tape and paper for the handle. in each basket we put a handmade note, happy easter, happy spring with some love and for each a packet of seeds to sprout! and then we potted the seeds after breakfast. it was great. always so hard to stay away from spending. i was so proud how we made it a healthy & vegan egg hunt and how we made everything from scratch at home and how we celebrated the season along with the day.
