Wild Plate

Watermelon Radish Salad

serves 4–6


3 cups watermelon radish, thinly sliced

1 cup fresh sugar snap peas, roughly chopped

1 medium avocado, peeled, pitted and cubed

1/4 cup green onion, green and white parts, chopped

1 teaspoon white sesame seeds

1 teaspoon black sesame seeds


2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

2 tablespoons expeller-pressed sesame oil

1 tablespoon minced, fresh ginger

1 ½ teaspoons raw light agave

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Make the salad

1. In medium mixing bowl, add watermelon radishes, snap peas, avocado, green onion, and black-and-white sesame seeds.

Make the dressing

1. In small mixing bowl, add rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, agave, and sea salt.

2. Whisk until dressing is smooth and oil is well incorporated.

3. Drizzle dressing over salad.  Toss lightly to coat.  Serve immediately.

Note: Salad keeps in refrigerator up to 2 days in airtight container.
