A friend of mine recently told me about the Going Green Film Festival and I wanted to share it here because it’s really cool outlet for environmentally conscious filmmakers. The festival takes place in Miracle Mile, a neighborhood of Los Angeles, and it features films that lowered their carbon footprint through every stage of production. That means that filmmakers reduced the use of paper and plastic bottles, they used reclaimed wood and non-toxic paint on their sets, they filmed digitally, and more. The festival takes place April 18-20th and will feature all genres with an emphasis on films about the environment, developing countries, animals, food, or alternative transportation.
