Show everyone on campus how cool it is to be eco-chic! If you need back to school stuff, make my OpenSky store your first stop. I’ve got a bunch of cute, eco stuff in there you may need! Check it out:
Striped Canvas Bag by Vine Street ($45) Vine Street makes their bags from organic and re-purposed materials, plus they’re made locally right here in Los Angeles, so if you leave near LA, that’s pretty darn local! These bags are nice and roomy and comfy with a wide shoulder strap. Perfect for toting your books, notebooks and other school essentials.
Snack Bars by Two Degrees Foods (9 bars) ($20) For each bar they sell, Two Degrees—in partnership with Valid Nutrition and Partners in Health—sends a nutrition pack to feed a hungry child in an impoverished country. How great is that? The bars are a wholesome and all-natural snack containing quinoa, chia, sunflower seeds, millet, and dried fruit. Perfect on-the-go snack between classes! They do have sugar so it’s not an all-the-time snack, but great for a treat between classes.
Everyday Sweatshirt by Threads 4 Thought ($65) This slouchy striped top is made from organic cotton grown from untreated seeds (as in, not genetically altered) and healthy soil. Even the dyes behind those pretty stripes are done with low-impact dyes. Perfect to throw on for your next late night study session!
Flour Sack Tea Towels and Lunch Tote ($38) I use reusable cloth dishtowels in the kitchen, and these adorable towels from Girls Can Tell are a favorite. They’re made from recycled flour sacks and are completely dye-free. Designer Sara Selepouchin prints them by hand, and now when you buy this set of four towels, you get one of her cute lunch totes, too! Perfect for packing your yummy healthy lunch.
EcoTools Hanging Valet & 5-Piece Brush Set ($30) So lets say I’m running out the door for a meeting and need to look all flawless and such…so all my tools I need make up-wise are on one side and on the other side I keep your brushes all nice and clean. Its super pretty, very smart, and very easy. If you’re a make-up-every-day gal you can throw it in your book bag for easily touching up makeup between classes!
