This month’s book club selection is for the manly men in your life! Rip Esselstyn’s The Engine 2 Diet is a 28-day plan based on the meals that Esselstyn cooked for his fellow Engine 2 firefighters in Austin, Texas.
The son of cardiologist Caldwell Esselstyn (you may recognize Dr. Esselstyn from the film Forks Over Knives), Rip was raised on plant-based food and was a professional athlete before becoming a firefighter.
You can get a copy of The Engine 2 Diet here, or check out your local library. If you’ve had trouble inspiring the men in your life to go kind, try sharing this book with them and tell me how it goes!
Leave your thoughts about The Engine 2 Diet in the comments below, and I may feature you in a post on The Kind Life next month!
