Fifteen year old Kind Lifer Veronica gets healthy. Check out her story:
“My name is Veronica; I’m fifteen years old, and I grew up in a junk food, meat-obsessed household. We’d have McDonald’s every day and I LOVED burgers. This was up until three months ago. I decided that I was going to become healthy and completely turned my diet around. I’d read up a bit on The Kind Life, and I realized that even though I’d already taken some steps toward a cleaner diet, I was still sluggish and heavy. I started noticing that the days that I was getting plant protein in my meals instead of animal, I felt SO much better. I cut out dairy first, and then red meat, and three weeks ago I decided to make the leap to veganism.
My dad (the biggest carnivore on the planet!) isn’t too supportive, but my mum understands and gave me the money to go to the independent grocery store in my area. I bought nutritional yeast, flaxseeds, psyllium, and oodles or fruits and vegetables. I feel SO much better knowing that I’m living a kind life! I know it’s early, but I can’t see myself ever wanting to go back. It’s even inspired my boyfriend to go vegetarian (that boy loves his cheese, but I’ve turned him on to almond milk smoothies)!
I’m getting your book for my birthday (hopefully!), and I can’t wait to read it. I just wanted to let you know that you really have changed my life. I’ve struggled on and off with binge-starve eating issues, and for the first time in my teenage years, I’m not riddled with guilt with anything I eat. I’m genuinely, genuinely happy, and it’s all due to your message.“
This makes me so happy! Congrats, Veronica!! I can’t wait for you to read the book…I know you will love it!
