I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and new year.
I’m a little late posting this but wanted to share our christmas day feast.
Bear and I went to Tree People and met up with some friends for a hike/play for two hours on rocks.
then bear and i went to close friends Aleeza and Marty’s house – Marty directed the Aerosmith videos I was in when I was 16 and we have been like family every since – for a feast made with love by Aleeza. Aleeza is Isreali and prepared a spread of tahina (tahini) ,hummus, sesame cucumbers, beets, carrot soup, baked fennel, endive persimmon pomegranate salad and bureek ( pastry filled with eggplants and sweet potatoes ).and the peppers were amazing! It was all soooooo good!
This family is love. They are so much fun and so generous. Bear had a great time playing with their kids, Jazz and Tess (who are adults now in their mid 20s).
After our delicious meal, we went home to Christopher – missing our nap because we were having too much fun – who celebrated his birthday with hot springs and a Lakers game.
As the night came to a close, we snuggled and went to bed by a lovely 9:30. It was a wonderful day!
Now back to work finishing The Kind Mama!
How was your holiday celebration? Did you cook up anything new and exciting this year? Or did you find a new tradition to celebrate?
There are lots of ways to show love and appreciation during the holidays…
