KooShoo Giveaway

The brand launched last year with the intention of creating accessories that are fashionable, functional, made from organic and natural materials, and are packaged using recycled and biodegradable materials.

They offer apparel and accessories that use only organic cotton and natural materials made by ethically operated LA suppliers and are hand dyed with low-impact dyes in a 100% solar powered dye house. They also donate 11% of their profits to Karma Teachers Centre for Yoga and Meditation, a charity that provides free yoga and meditation to Canada’s poorest neighborhoods.

Their shawls can be worn 12 ways and are made from silk-like Tencel, a green super fabric derived from sustainably harvested eucalyptus trees. • Shelby

Luckily, my job allows me to interact with and try to help others everyday which I find to be very rewarding. By the time I get home every day, I am exhausted by the events of the day but reflecting on those individuals I was able to meet that day and share time with, ultimately makes me feel good and want to continue to do what I am doing. Finding more time to independently reflect, meditate and rebalance myself is a resolution I recently made to myself and my first step toward this has been looking to try yoga and modifying my palate to include more organic foods and recipes.

  • thelaurakz

I try and go for a 30 minute run at night. It’s just me, music and the stars and it makes me feel strong, calm and very connected to the amazing universe we live in. :)

  • Shelby

Luckily, I have a job that allows me to try to help others every day which is very rewarding in and of itself. Having the opportunity to meet new people and share insight feels wonderful but not always taking time for myself can lead me to become quite exhausted. In order to help rebalance my life, I have made a recent resolution to myself– that I will take more time for independent reflection, incorporate more organic foods into my diet and am even looking to introduce yoga into my life. I am at the beginning of this journey but am excited for what will become of it!

  • Stephanie Niave

Being in Fargo, ND experiencing six month winters with many 30-50 below wind-chill days, prevents me from being outdoors as much as I love. I have my herb garden in my laundry room for the winter – all in pots. I love spending a good hour with my plants every night after work running my fingers through the dwarf curry, rosemary, lemon balm, sage, peppermint and lavender…..dreaming about spring days soon to come (hopefully)!

  • Charmaine Porter

Every morning I meditate for a few minutes no matter where I am…I spend a minimum of five minutes focusing on the positives in my life and all that I have to be grateful for. Every evening I close the day in gratitude for what the day has brought me. In this way…focusing on the good the true and the beautiful…and all I have to be grateful for…it’s hard to feel BAD :)

  • Kelli W

Every day since my Nj nieces visited us in Florida this September we talk to them on facetime (every day). We realized how much we all missed each other being so far apart. It is the highlight of our to have them show us what they learned in school or recreate their dance classes. We do magic tricks for them and sometimes they just call to ‘hang out’ and watch tv. Nothing could make us happier :-)

  • Brooks O

I try to do something nice for someone else every day, someone in addition to my family and close friends. Sometimes it is as small as smiling at a stranger as we pass in a parking lot, or complimenting someone on an interesting accessory or outfit and sometimes it is volunteering at an equestrian sanctuary to feed or much stalls.

  • Kristina Fukuda

I make time to cook good food and play with my dogs :-)

  • Renata Fabisiak

So much joy and happiness is lost in the stress of our days. I usually start the day with studying or fitness. If I’m studying, I light a burner, open the window and breathe in the new day. I’m not claustrophobic, however I also (no matter what temperature) don’t like to be in a room with no fresh air. No matter which way I start my day, my endorphins and positive energy is renewed and ready for whatever life brings forth. I like to take the stress from people (especially at work) and enjoy smiling and laughing alot, as well as just listening. This is all infectious… Can you imagine if we all did this… the world would be a more peaceful, relaxed place :)
