Hello Fellpw Kind Lifers!

I have 6 weeks left until my due date, and my husband and I are having a very difficult time finding the right pediatrician to take care of our son once he is here.

I have done a bit of research and really really really like Dr. Jay Gordon, although I have not yet spoken to him in person since his initial consultation fee is $350 and he does not accept insurance, yikes! However, his assistant Lorri has been an absolute pleasure. If it wasn't for the insurance issue, I would be 200% onboard since he is everything I have been looking for in a vegan-passionate pediatrician who does not have an agenda to push pills, vaccines, and antibiotics at every corner. Oh the dilemma...Once I have the baby, I am going to quit my job so my husband and I will be living on less than we are now. Adding a HUGE expense to have Dr. Gordon as my son's pediatrician might be very difficult, but I know he would be a really good influence on my son. Has anyone else met Dr. Gordon? Is he worth the expense?

I have also looked into Dr. Fleiss but I am NOT thrilled with the interactions I've had with his staff over the phone, so I'm thinking he is probably not the right doc for my family.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I am all ears!
