With the new year around the corner, I like to take a moment to think back on my past year and focus on my visions for the next. To me this looks life getting clear on my life’s goals and reworking my life around these priorities. Julie Morgenstern’s Organizing from the Inside Out is really helpful for creating the life you want with your actual schedule. It helps you define what you truly want in your life and then directs you on how to fill you’re your time with that instead of all the other stuff. I highly recommend journaling on or around New Year’s Eve to look back on the year and get perspective for 2018! Sometimes time can blur together so journaling really helps to carve out time for reflection and acknowledgement of how much actually happened in a year. Achieving a handstand in the middle of the yoga room has been in my new year journal for a couple of years now. It hasn’t happened yet :/ ha! It won’t make the cut this year, it’s no longer a priority. Overall, I really enjoy this annual journaling session, it helps you get clear on what happened over the year and what you accomplished.
If you’ll be celebrating on NYE and plan on drinking, indulge in organic and vegan beverages. Remember to Lyft, Uber, or Taxi – no buzzed driving! And if you’re not feeling so hot the next day, make my cure all hangover tea and mykind organics B12 spray!
I hope you have a lovely New Years with the people you love most and who make you feel whole.
What are you kind resolutions for the new year?
Love,
Alicia
