Last year I attended Natural Products Expo West, a mega natural products convention with over 70,000 people exploring thousands of companies exhibiting their latest and greatest natural food, supplement, bath and body, and eco-lifestyle products. Seriously it’s huge!! You could walk nearly half a marathon in just one day and not see all the vendors. This year, it occurred over the weekend of March 9-13th.
I didn’t have enough time to do a serious full on vegan scope, but from what I could explore, here are some 2015 highlights. Also, just a heads up – despite all the natural and healthy hype, this Expo is not exclusively vegan : (

Some more info and notes from my adventure:
Bee Free Honey – I thought this was a super cool concept. Bee Free Honey is created out of organic apple juice, lemon juice, and cane sugar.
Beyond Meat – Beyond Meat makes non-gmo plant-based meat substitutes from pea and soy proteins. If you’re into meat substitutes, try them out and let me know what you think!
Cocomels – This vegan caramel company is the real deal! If you’re looking to indulge in a vegan caramel treat, Cocomels is the one.
DF Maven’s  – DF Maven’s makes coconut, almond, and soy based ice creams. Their strawberry flavor is insane! The mint almond cookie is also pretty yum. The majority of their flavors are sweetened with cane juice but the chocolate coconut is sugar free, and it’s good! While we were in NYC last summer, Bear and I visited their ice cream shop a fair amount : )
Harmless Harvest – I hardly ever drink coconut water (eco wise there’s the impact of bringing coconuts over from Thailand and superhero wise it’s like a dessert) but from time to time if I’m craving a coconut water, this one is the cleanest and most eco to consume. So if you’re searching for the kindest coconut water, check Harmless Harvest out!
Health-Ade Kombucha – If you’re a kombucha fan, Health Ade tastes yummy!
Hope Hummus – I tried Hope’s original hummus flavor and it was great! It tasted like freshly made hummus which was enjoyable compared to most packaged hummus brands. Plus it’s certified organic and non-gmo verified!
Miyoko’s Creamery – I tasted Miyoko’s cheeses and they are insane! I’m a fan of the Classic Double Chive Cream.
Vixen’s Kitchen – Vixen’s organic ice cream is super tasty! And even more exciting, it’s cashew and maple syrup based. No other added sugars! I liked her coffee flavor so much we ordered it to have at Bear’s birthday party.
What are some of your favorite natural vegan products out there? Any brand new vegan products on the rise that everyone needs to know about?!
