I’m so excited because I’m going to Boston next week for a work conference and I’ll be spending one night in Salem! I’m also traveling to California (Los Angeles and Anaheim) at the end of the month for a belated birthday vacation. East Coast to West Coast! I’ve never been to either and I can’t wait to see what kind of vegan treats the cities have in store. Recommendations are definitely welcome!

  • Rachel

I would love to go on a bike riding adventure this month!

  • Stephanie

This month is my mother’s birthday! Her favorite place is the beach, so we will be taking a short trip to a beach in Manchester, MA.

I also want to go on a weekend trip to Vermont to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city :)

  • Noelle Savage

We’re taking a trip to our lake house in PA. It’s the perfect place to unplug, relax and take the kiddos on lots of adventures. Hunting for frogs and other “nature animals” (as my daughter calls them), hikes, fishing, swimming and just enjoying the simplicity of the lovely nature preserve.

my husband is a workoholic and he tends to do side jobs on the weekends and doing his art projects on the weekdays after work. so i wish he would take some time off this month and we could finally go to sea side as a family , or for a hike in the woods , or visiting friends who live in nice green suburbs. staying in the city in summer with kids is no fun, we long for nature and fresh local foods that are ripe now. couple times in summer i took my kids to visit family in russia and we enjoyed wild forest berries in june, then in july followed organic berries that u could buy from old farmers at little market at almost any bus stop in the city, in august came big juicy watermelons. the only hard thing was strong jet leg that took us 2 weeks to get over, and lots of big mosquitos that u cant tame with any natural bug spray for long enough. nevertheless going to visit my family overseas was best summer adventure !

  • christophersorel

oh my daughter would love that

I just had an excellent adventure a week ago in Crestone, Colorado. My family and I did some hiking and then visited this most unique town. It is town unlike any other. The adventure part of the trip was when I was given a map to visit a variety of religious centers. This town has 43 different religious centers and is quite the spiritual mecca. We visited a variety of temples and met some incredibly wonderful and interesting people. I think the best part of any adventure is being spontaneous and greeting the day with an open heart and an open mind.

Just got back from a family vacation, which was an adventure in itself! So this month I’m looking forward to the adventures in my daily life – out on a run, walking through the park with my toddler, or just spending time in the backyard.

  • Skye

With being in college and working 7 days a week, it isn’t easy to get out of town and go on adventures, but we are going to a lake for the day this month in a chalet and hosting my sister’s 13th birthday. My husband and I are also trying to get pregnant and that’s a whole adventure in itself! We read the The Kind Mama, and will be purchasing all organic food/bath products, etc and switching to a plant-based diet to help with fertility! Thank you for all your advice!

  • jtlittlelong

We are taking a trip to 4 different states. Along the way we plan on eating at at east two vegan restraints in each state and stop at as many fresh fruit stands as we can. With the fresh fruits and veggies (of what we don’t eat haha) and whatever my mom grows we plan on making salsa with her tomato’s and onions and peppers can tomatoes make pickles (she has a homemade vegan recipe) make hot jalapenos and make apricot jam (apricot, apricot pineapple walnut) mint jam from her grown mint. We also buy corn from local farmers and freeze it or can it. It’s a great tradition to utilize her organic veggies and fruits plus we have a huge stock for the winter.I could go one with all the veggies we do and fruits like applesauce or cherry pie filling

  • Ciera Alvarez

  • Whitney

I know the giveaway is over but I still wanted to share my “adventure plans”. My husband and I are downsizing, minimizing, and reprioritizing our life! I am 6 months pregnant with our 2nd daughter and our 1st will be 2 next month. (hands full!) We have decided to get back to basics. I am quitting my job, we are selling most of our things to get out of debt and live more simply. We plan to spend more time together and less time worrying about what the world tells us we need to. Now that, is an adventure! :)
