Vegan Macaroni and Cheese - Part 2 "Cheese"

This is the Part 2 of the "Macaroni and Cheese", it's mixed into the "White Sauce" of Part 1, mixed with pasta then cooked in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup "Good Tasting" nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Oil

Directions

  1. Mix nutritional yeast, cornstarch, flour, and salt in a small saucepan.
  2. Add water, oil, and mustard (1/2 Tbsp of Dijon mustard was listed in the ingredient but since I hate that we should ignore it)
  3. Cook and stir until it thickens and bubbles.
  4. Add it to the white sauce made before in part 1 of the recipe
  5. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  6. Mix cooked pasta with "cheese" sauce.
  7. Pour into a greased casserole dish.
  8. Top with cracker crumbs or bread crumbs.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes.
